Bubble Bakery is a fusion of many cultures, embodied in the Korean and Lithuanian heritage of our principle founders, Kelly and Kim Park. Growing up in Korea, the Park sisters were raised in the Korean tradition of using herbal and natural remedies to achieve positive health benefits for physical, mental, and emotional well being. In Korea, for every malady, there is a tried and true natural remedy.
Korean culture provided Kim and Kelly with the background and knowledge as to how conditions ranging from dry skin to headaches could be treated effectively and easily through natural methods. Similarly, the Lithuanian side of their ancestry is also steeped with tradition for natural medicines and healing. In fact, in Lithuania, health is considered “the second part of the soul”. Traditional folk medicine in Lithuania has identified more than 200 mineral, 150 lower plant and 2000 upper plant materials for addressing such maladies and wrinkles, itchiness, and acne.
The fortunate convergence of this unique cultural heritage created the base knowledge and foundation for The Bubble Bakery. When the Park sisters moved to America as college students they discovered the opportunity and the market for these wonderful Korean and Lithuanian health traditions. Having limited access to all the natural medicines and ingredients they had taken for granted in Korea and Lithuania prompted the resourceful duo to explore ways to provide the positive health benefits of natural herbs in a unique and useful way. The Bubble Bakery is the result, and its products are the culmination of centuries of Asian and European healing arts.
Based in Oxnard, California, Bubble Bakery is dedicated to providing the best possible health benefits for body mind, and soul. In 2009 at the age of 18, Mary Tietz started her apprenticeship ensuring the Bubble Bakery business continues for generations to come.
