From the time I was a young girl, I heard my grandmothers talk about making soap. Three generations of my family made soap at home before store brands became popular.
Interest in handcrafted soap-making led to extensive research on the subject, and I learned that chemicals and fillers are added to commercially produced soaps, which can be harsh to your skin – and that certain oils and nutrients are very healing for specific skin conditions.
Heirloom Soapworks has been making cold-process soap the old-fashioned way since 2002. Our products are formulated with high-quality, skin-nourishing oils such as coconut, olive and palm. We add rich butters, including shea, mango and cocoa butters, as well as essential oils and other natural ingredients like oatmeal and honey.
Our natural soaps retain the natural glycerin that is a byproduct of soap making - along with its skin-nourishing benefits. They’re fragranced with steam-distilled essential oils to add lovely scents, aromatherapy benefits and unique skin-healing properties. We also offer several fragrance free varieties.
We do not use any petroleum ingredients, parabens, preservatives, colorants or detergents. Our customers can be confident that products we offer have undergone rigorous testing on friends and family, prior to introduction.
Heirloom Soapworks natural soaps not only feel great and smell great, they’ll look great in your bathroom, too! We use plant materials and natural clays from around the world for their beautiful colors and skin-restorative properties.
We like to think of our soaps as ”pretty with a purpose." Enjoy!
