I’m a wife, mom, and a self proclaimed soap nerd with an entrepreneurial spirit. I live in Lubbock,Texas - a place best known for our expansive horizon, cotton, and as the birth place of Buddy Holly.
Quite unexpectedly I discovered a passion for making handmade soap and so, I set out to teach myself everything I could about this beautiful “functional art.” I am struck by the simple beauty and wonderful beneficial properties of the ingredients I get to work with every day - ingredients such as essential oils, clays, botanicals, honey and various milks. The ingredients themselves have such integrity and offer such amazing benefits to our skin.

Tierra Verde means "green earth" and you will find the philosophy of those two words in every detail of my products from ingredients to eco-friendly recycled or reusable packaging.
What you will find in Tierra Verde Handmade Soaps:

• A rich creamy nutritive vegetable base
• Glycerin – an emollient product of the saponification
process and the thing that makes your skin feel wonderful

• Products that are tested on willing friends and family – never animals.
What you won’t find in Tierra Verde Handmade Soaps:
• Animal fats
• Dyes
• Synthetic fragrance
• Preservatives
• Phosphates
• Sodium Lauryl / laureth sulfates – A detergent and surfactant found in many
personal care products used primarily as a foaming agent.
We've recently added Hand Balms to the Tierre Verde line. Hand Balms are made with fabulously moisturizing and nutritive ingredients to take care of hands in urgent need of moisture and repair. Tierra Verde Hand Balms are great for travel, the office or your purse. Simply warm between hands and apply to areas that need special attention-beeswax forms a protective seal to hold in moisture. They're a treat for your lips, elbows, feet and cuticles and come in a reusable tin.
